Vehicles

The Lake Winnebago Police Department currently operates 3 Police vehicles equipped with all the latest technology, in-car camera systems, and RADAR units. All officers are trained and certified to use the Taser 10 and AR-15 Rifle which are carried in our vehicles. In addition, our vehicles also carry emergency equipment to perform a water rescue. All officers are CPR and AED trained.  

Records Department

(816) 537-7900 Hours: Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Reports – $5.00 Videos – $25.00 The Records Department must receive a written request for copies of reports and videos along with payment and a self-addressed stamped envelope. Requests will be handled the following Tuesday. Please make checks payable to: City of Lake Winnebago.  

Animal Control

(816) 537-7900 The Lake Winnebago Police Department enforces the City of Lake Winnebago ordinances, policies, and procedures pertaining to animals and animal complaints.  

House Watches

(816) 537-7900 The Lake Winnebago Police Department offers House Watches for residents whom leave town on vacation or in an emergency. Officers will visually & physically check your home daily while you are away making sure it is safe and secure at no charge. A request for this service can be obtained at the Police Department, City Hall, or download it here.  

Ride-Along Program

The Lake Winnebago Police Department offers a Ride-Along program for individuals aged 18 years of age or older. The program allows citizens the opportunity to ride-along with one of our officers for the riders desired amount of time. This experience is designed to allow a deeper connection and understanding between law enforcement officers and the public. It’s considered an open-door invitation offered to the community to observe police officer duties and experiences in real time, raising awareness to the complexities of the job, while strengthening community ties. We’re always looking for improvement here at the Lake Winnebago Police Department.
